GTA Online MC Businesses Guide: Cocaine, Meth, Weed, Counterfeit Cash and Documents

The Complete MC Business System, From Clubhouse to Final Sale

MC businesses are five production properties — a Cocaine Lockup, a Methamphetamine Lab, a Weed Farm, a Counterfeit Cash Factory and a Document Forgery Office — that turn supplies into sellable product while you do other things in GTA Online.

They arrived with the Bikers update on October 4, 2016, and they still work the way they always have: buy a business, keep it supplied, let staff produce, then run the delivery yourself for the payout.

This is the full guide: what each business costs, what a full stock sells for, which upgrades matter, and how to sell without handing your product to every griefer in Los Santos. Figures are the game's standard list prices and sale values as of November 2026; weekly discounts regularly cut purchase prices.

Key Takeaways

  • You need a Clubhouse first (from GTA$200,000), then you buy businesses through The Open Road website on the clubhouse laptop as MC President.
  • The Cocaine Lockup is the best earner: a full upgraded stock sells for GTA$525,000 to the far buyer. Document Forgery is the weakest at GTA$157,500.
  • A full resupply costs GTA$75,000 bought, for every business type. Stealing supplies is free but slow.
  • Equipment and Staff upgrades are the ones that make money. Security only reduces raid risk.
  • Since The Criminal Enterprises in July 2022, all business sales can be run in Invite Only, Crew and Friends sessions.

1. Getting Started: Clubhouse, President Status and The Open Road

Everything begins with a Clubhouse, bought through Maze Bank Foreclosures. Twelve locations exist, priced from GTA$200,000 for Great Chaparral up to GTA$495,000, and they are all functionally identical inside.

Buy the cheap one unless you love a particular location. The money you save is better spent on your first business and its upgrades.

With a Clubhouse owned, register as an MC President from the Interaction Menu. Our step-by-step on how to register as an MC President or CEO covers the menu path and the differences between the two roles.

Businesses themselves are bought on The Open Road, the website on the laptop inside your Clubhouse. You can own one of each of the five types, and each type offers four locations around the map at different prices — again, the buildings all work identically, so distance to your other activities matters more than price.

2. The Five Businesses, Compared

Here is each business with its cheapest entry price and what a full stock sells for with the Equipment and Staff upgrades installed, which is the only configuration worth running. Sales offer two buyers: a local buyer nearby, and a far buyer who pays 50% more for a longer drive.

Cocaine Lockup — from GTA$975,000 (Alamo Sea). Full stock of 10 units sells for GTA$350,000 local or GTA$525,000 far, and takes about five hours to produce. The strongest business of the five by a wide margin.

Methamphetamine Lab — from GTA$910,000 (Grand Senora Desert). Full stock of 20 units sells for GTA$297,500 local or GTA$446,250 far over roughly six hours. The clear second place.

Counterfeit Cash Factory — from GTA$845,000 (Grand Senora Desert). Full stock of 40 units sells for GTA$245,000 local or GTA$367,500 far over about five hours. Third by raw numbers, with a Money Fronts twist covered later in this guide.

Weed Farm — from GTA$715,000 (San Chianski Mountain Range). Full stock of 80 units sells for GTA$210,000 local or GTA$315,000 far. Slower money, but the cheapest respectable entry point.

Document Forgery Office — from GTA$650,000 (Grapeseed). Full stock of 60 units sells for GTA$105,000 local or GTA$157,500 far. The cheapest business and the weakest earner; treat it as a Nightclub feeder, not an income source.

3. Supplies: The Buy-or-Steal Decision

Production consumes supplies, shown as five bars. One bar costs GTA$15,000 to buy, so a completely empty business costs GTA$75,000 to refill, whichever type it is.

Buying supplies is the standard play for upgraded businesses. Your time is worth more than the saving: one far cocaine sale returns GTA$525,000 against GTA$187,500 of total supply cost to fill the stock completely.

Steal-supplies missions are free but deliver roughly a bar at a time and take you away from better-paying activities. They make sense for a brand-new player whose time is cheap, and for topping up a nearly full bar.

One mechanical detail matters: production only runs while you are in an active GTA Online session. Log off and the timer stops, so MC businesses reward long sessions rather than overnight idling.

4. Upgrades and the Daily Fees Nobody Mentions

Each business offers three upgrades, bought once from the same laptop. Their price ranges vary by business type.

Equipment upgrade (GTA$550,000–$1,100,000): faster production, higher product value, and supplies stretch further. This is the upgrade that turns the sale values in Part 2 into reality. Buy it first.

Staff upgrade (GTA$195,000–$390,000): faster production and higher product value alongside the equipment. Buy it second; together these two are what "fully upgraded" means in every profit figure.

Security upgrade (GTA$285,000–$570,000): reduces how often your businesses get raided. It adds nothing to income, so it is the last priority and a legitimate skip for careful players.

For the top business, a fully set-up Cocaine Lockup — cheapest lockup plus all three upgrades — totals roughly GTA$2.87 million. That is the honest entry price of the best MC income.

Then there are daily fees, charged only while you are registered as an MC President: a GTA$750 base per business per day, rising to GTA$1,500 with all upgrades. Across five upgraded businesses that is up to GTA$7,500 a day — small money, but resign as President when you are done selling.

5. Selling: Buyers, Vehicles and Staying Alive

When stock is ready, sell from the laptop inside the business. You choose the local buyer for a short, safer run or the far buyer for 50% more money and a long drive across the map.

Bigger stocks can mean bigger delivery jobs: a full stock may spawn up to four delivery vehicles, which a solo player must move one at a time against a timer. This is why experienced sellers move stock early — keeping a Cocaine Lockup at low stock usually keeps its sale to a single vehicle.

The session question was settled by Rockstar years ago: since The Criminal Enterprises update of July 26, 2022, all business sell missions work in Invite Only, Crew and Friends sessions. There is no longer any payout reason to sell in a public lobby.

If you ever do sell publicly, or simply want an empty public lobby for other reasons, our guide to getting a solo public session explains the reliable methods.

The remaining risk is raids: a business holding stock can be attacked while you are registered as President, and failing the defence costs product. The Security upgrade lowers the odds, and selling promptly lowers them further.

6. The Clubhouse Extras Around the Businesses

Your Clubhouse is worth more than the laptop. The Contracts Wall in the meeting room offers Clubhouse Contracts — short Freemode missions for your MC that pay respectable GTA$ and RP between sales.

The Criminal Enterprises also upgraded the Clubhouse's Custom Bike Shop, letting Presidents modify clients' bikes to order and deliver them for extra income, and added a Bar Resupply run that keeps the clubhouse bar stocked for a little more.

None of these replace business income. Think of them as the filler work that makes time spent near your Clubhouse productive while product builds.

7. How MC Businesses Feed the Nightclub and Money Fronts

An MC business does not stop earning at its own front door. If you own a Nightclub, each MC business also supplies one category of warehouse goods that your Nightclub technicians can accrue passively.

The pairings are: Cocaine feeds South American Imports, Meth feeds Pharmaceutical Research, Counterfeit Cash feeds Cash Creation, Weed feeds Organic Produce, and Document Forgery feeds Printing & Copying. Our Nightclub guide explains how that warehouse turns five slow businesses into one steady sale.

This is also the honest defence of Document Forgery: as a seller it is poor, but as a feeder it fills a Nightclub category you would otherwise leave empty. The wider system is covered in our breakdown of passive income in GTA Online.

The 2025 Money Fronts businesses add a second synergy: owning the Hands On Car Wash raises Counterfeit Cash sale values by about 35%, and Smoke on the Water does the same for Weed — enough to move Counterfeit Cash ahead of Meth for owners of both. Our Car Wash guide covers that business in full.

8. What to Buy First, and What to Skip

Start with the Cocaine Lockup, with Equipment and Staff upgrades, and learn the sell rhythm on the game's best hourly earner. Add the Methamphetamine Lab second for the same reason: it is the next-best return on the same routine.

Buy Counterfeit Cash third if you own or plan to own the Hands On Car Wash, and Weed fourth if Smoke on the Water is in your portfolio. Without those synergies, keep the standard order and let the Nightclub decide what else you need.

Document Forgery comes last, or not at all if you have no Nightclub. Nobody who has run the numbers recommends it as a standalone business — and notably, the July 2026 Title Update 1.73 economy rebalance left MC payouts untouched, so this order still holds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Clubhouse before buying an MC business?

Yes. The Clubhouse is the prerequisite for everything: it makes you eligible to register as an MC President, and its laptop hosts The Open Road website where the five businesses are bought.

Can I own all five MC businesses at once?

Yes. You can own one of each type — Cocaine, Meth, Weed, Counterfeit Cash and Document Forgery — and run them simultaneously. Each has its own supplies, stock and daily fees.

Which MC business location should I buy?

All locations of a type work identically, so buy based on price and where you spend your time. The cheapest Cocaine Lockup is Alamo Sea at GTA$975,000; the expensive Morningwood option at GTA$1,852,500 adds nothing but scenery.

Is it better to buy supplies or steal them?

Buy them, once your businesses are upgraded. A full resupply costs GTA$75,000 and buying takes seconds, while stealing fills about a bar per mission. Stealing suits brand-new players whose alternative use of the time pays less.

Do MC businesses produce while I am offline?

No. Production only runs while you are in an active GTA Online session. Stock levels wait exactly where you left them until you log back in.

Can I sell MC product in an Invite Only session?

Yes. Since The Criminal Enterprises update in July 2022, all business sell missions — MC businesses included — can be completed in Invite Only, Crew and Friends sessions at full payout.

What happens when an MC business is raided?

While you are registered as MC President, a business holding stock can be attacked by police or rivals. Defend it successfully and nothing is lost; fail, and you lose product. The Security upgrade reduces how often raids happen.

How much are the daily fees for MC businesses?

Fees are charged per business for each in-game day you spend registered as MC President: GTA$750 base, up to GTA$1,500 with all three upgrades installed. Resigning as President when you finish selling avoids them.

Is the Document Forgery Office worth buying?

As a money-maker, no — a full upgraded stock sells for just GTA$157,500 to the far buyer, the lowest of the five. Its real value is feeding the Printing & Copying category of a Nightclub warehouse.

What is the difference between MC businesses and CEO businesses?

MC businesses are passive production: supplies convert to stock over time, and you deliver it. CEO Special Cargo is active sourcing: you run a mission for every crate. They use different roles — MC President versus CEO — and many players run both.

Conclusion

The MC system rewards one decision above all others: buy the Cocaine Lockup, upgrade its Equipment and Staff, buy your supplies, and sell to the far buyer from a private session.

Everything after that is optimisation — a Meth Lab second, Money Fronts synergies if you own them, and a Nightclub quietly converting all five businesses into a second income. Run them that way and the Bikers content of 2016 still earns its place in a 2026 portfolio.
