A Fresh Week of Bonuses Starts Every Thursday
GTA Online runs on a weekly cycle. Every Thursday, Rockstar rotates the bonuses, discounts, feature vehicles and challenges, and the new set runs until the following Thursday.
This page tracks that cycle. The current event week sits at the top, and everything below it explains how the rotation works, so the page stays useful after any single week ends.
Right now the headline is the Heist Event, running from November 5 to November 11, 2026. Doubled first-time completion bonuses on the game's biggest Heists lead the week, backed by a guaranteed Panther Statue and 40% off the properties those Heists are launched from.
This Week in GTA Online (November 5–11, 2026)
This part of the page is refreshed after every weekly reset. Last updated November 6, 2026, from Rockstar's Heist Event post on the Newswire, with the week's rotating cars and challenge as they stand in the game.
- The headline: the Heist Event. First-time completion bonuses are doubled on all Original Heists, all three Acts of The Doomsday Heist and The Diamond Casino Heist, and a first completion of KnoWay Out pays 2X GTA$.
- Boosted modes: 3X GTA$ and RP on Mansion Raid, and 2X GTA$ and RP on the Community Race Series.
- Guaranteed targets: the Panther Statue on your first Cayo Perico Heist approach this week, and The Outcome of Endeavour on your first run of The Kortz Center Heist.
- Free login reward: The Great Circle Back, a painting for your Mansion. Log in at any point through November 11 to receive it.

Key Takeaways
- The weekly update lands every Thursday at 10:00 UTC, and each set of offers runs for seven days.
- Bonuses, discounts, the podium vehicle, the Prize Ride and the Weekly Challenge all rotate at the reset.
- Since the summer 2026 update, the first completion of each covered Heist finale in a week pays a boosted bonus, and repeats pay less.
- Event blocks can outlast a single week, so check the stated dates rather than assuming everything ends on Thursday.
- Rockstar announces each week on the Newswire, and this page is refreshed from that post after every reset.
1. When the Weekly Reset Lands
The rotation turns over on Thursday at 10:00 UTC. At that moment the old week's bonuses and discounts end, and the new week's set goes live across the game.
Our guide to when the GTA Online weekly reset lands in every time zone converts that moment for your region, which matters if you are planning a final discounted purchase or one last boosted run.
Keep the weekly reset separate from the daily one. Daily Objectives and other daily items refresh at 06:00 UTC, on their own clock, and they keep ticking over inside whichever event week is running.
2. What Rotates Every Week
The bonus list is the heart of the update. Rockstar picks a set of activities to pay 2X or 3X GTA$ and RP for the week, and those boosted modes are usually the fastest legitimate earning in the game until the reset.
Discounts rotate alongside them, covering a changing mix of vehicles, properties, weapons and upgrades. A property bought in its discount week can cost hundreds of thousands less than the same purchase a week earlier or later.
The feature vehicles change too: a new podium vehicle on the Casino Lucky Wheel, a new Prize Ride and Test Track line-up at the LS Car Meet, refreshed showroom stock, and a new Gun Van inventory.
Around those sit the smaller rotations: the standard and HSW time trials, the Premium Race, the FIB Priority File, the Salvage Yard robbery targets and the Weekly Challenge, a single set task that pays GTA$100,000.
Not everything turns over weekly. GTA+ benefits run on a monthly cycle, and major content such as a new Heist arrives in a title update, not in a Thursday rotation.
3. How Long Bonuses and Discounts Run
A standard event week runs Thursday to Thursday. This week's Heist Event, for example, runs from November 5 to November 11, and its offers end when the November 12 reset lands.
Themed blocks can run longer. Rockstar has already announced Contact Mission bonuses running from November 12 to December 2, three weeks at once, and October's Halloween events formed a month-long season with fresh challenges inside it.
The safe habit is to read the dates on any offer before planning around it. If a bonus or discount matters to you, use it inside its stated window rather than assuming it survives the next reset.
4. The First-Completion Bonus, Explained
Title Update 1.73, released in July 2026 alongside The Kortz Center Heist, rebuilt Heist pay around the weekly cycle. The first time you complete a covered finale in a weekly period, it pays a larger bonus; repeat completions of the same finale inside that week pay less.
The covered list is long: the original apartment Heists (Fleeca, Prison Break, Humane Labs, Series A and Pacific Standard), the Diamond Casino finale, all three Doomsday acts, The Data Leaks, The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, KnoWay Out and Oscar Guzman Flies Again.
The same principle applies at the Kortz Center, where the first Primary Target you sell each week earns the weekly bonus, and Cayo Perico's target mix now follows the weekly cadence too.
In practice, spreading your finales across different Heists pays better than grinding one. Our guide to how to make money fast in GTA Online builds a full route around exactly that idea.
5. A Simple Routine for Each New Week
Start by logging in. Event weeks often carry a free login reward, like this week's Mansion painting, and it only takes a session start inside the window to claim it.
Bank the Weekly Challenge early while it is on your mind. Alongside it, the daily challenges and Daily Objectives run on their own daily track and stack steady money and RP on top of the weekly offers.
Then run one first-completion finale for each Heist you own before repeating anything, and spend your remaining sessions in the week's boosted modes, where the multipliers do the work.
If a discounted property or vehicle was already on your list, buy it inside its discount week. If it was not on your list, let it go — the rotation always brings another sale.
6. GTA+ Runs Alongside the Weekly Cycle
GTA+ sits on top of the weekly rotation rather than inside it. Members receive GTA$500,000 every month, a free claim vehicle at The Vinewood Car Club — this month the Grotti Itali RSX, free to claim through December 9 — and member Shark Cards carrying 15% bonus GTA$.
Member benefits also stack with the public bonuses in many weeks. In the announced November 12 to December 2 block, for instance, Contact Missions pay 2X to everyone and 4X to GTA+ members.
Our GTA+ explained guide weighs the full membership against its price, including the months when the benefits are thinner.
Because the membership month and the event week run on different clocks, a benefit can easily outlast the weekly offers it launched beside. Check both end dates before planning a big purchase or a long grind.
7. Where the Official Word Appears
Rockstar announces the rotation in a Newswire post at the start of the event week. Most weeks get their own post; a longer event may be covered by a single post that sets out several weeks at once.
The headlines also surface inside the game itself, and member-specific benefits are set out on the GTA+ page. If a post or screenshot shows offers that do not match what you see in-game, check its date first — last week's list is the most common source of confusion.
This page is refreshed from the Newswire post after every reset. Bookmark it, check the current week at the top each Thursday, and use the explainers below it whenever you need the detail behind a bonus, a discount or a deadline.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does the GTA Online weekly update reset?
Every Thursday at 10:00 UTC. At that moment the previous week's bonuses, discounts and feature vehicles end, and the new week's set goes live.
How long does a weekly update last?
Seven days, from one Thursday reset to the next. Some themed blocks run longer — Rockstar occasionally announces bonuses spanning two or three weeks, and seasonal events can run for a month with weekly challenges inside them.
Where does Rockstar announce the weekly update?
In a post on the Rockstar Newswire at the start of the event week, with the headlines also shown in the game. This page is refreshed from that Newswire post after every reset.
What is the podium vehicle?
It is the car displayed on the podium in The Diamond Casino & Resort, won with a spin of the Lucky Wheel. You get a free spin every day, and the car itself changes at every weekly reset.
What is the Prize Ride?
The Prize Ride is a free car earned at the LS Car Meet by completing that week's racing challenge, usually placing well in the Car Meet Series on consecutive days. The car and the challenge both rotate weekly.
What is the Weekly Challenge?
A single set task published with each week's update — winning a mode, completing a job or clearing a target — that pays GTA$100,000 when you complete it inside the week. The current task is listed in the This Week area at the top of this page.
What happens to a bonus at the reset?
It ends. Offers belong to the week they were published in, so a discounted price or a boosted payout is only guaranteed inside its stated dates. If something matters to you, finish it before Thursday 10:00 UTC.
Is the weekly update something I have to download?
No. The weekly rotation is switched on Rockstar's side, so the new offers simply appear in the game. Downloads are reserved for title updates and new content, such as Title Update 1.73 in July 2026.
Does the weekly reset change my Daily Objectives?
No. Daily Objectives run on a separate daily reset at 06:00 UTC. The weekly reset changes the event week's bonuses, discounts and challenges around them, but your daily track keeps its own rhythm.
Do GTA+ benefits change every week?
No. GTA+ benefits refresh monthly, on their own dates, and sit on top of the weekly rotation. A member month can span four or five different event weeks, so its free vehicle and multipliers often outlast the weekly offers beside them.
The Bottom Line
The GTA Online weekly update is a rhythm worth playing to: claim the free rewards, bank the Weekly Challenge, spend your first completions wisely and buy in discount weeks. None of it asks for long sessions — it asks for the right sessions, in the right order, before Thursday comes round again.
Check the top of this page every week for the current offers, and let the reset work for you instead of against you.
