The Short Answer on Bundles
No. As of the start of November 2026, Sony and Rockstar have not announced an official GTA 6 PS5 bundle — no console-and-game box, and no special-edition PS5 hardware. The only official GTA 6 hardware you can buy is a pair of limited-edition DualSense controllers.
That could still change before or after the 19 November launch, and Sony has bundled GTA before. But right now, anyone selling you a “GTA 6 PS5 bundle” is selling a combination a retailer put together itself, not an official Sony product.
Key Takeaways
- No official GTA 6 PS5 or PS5 Pro bundle has been announced by Sony or Rockstar.
- Two limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers, priced at $84.99, are the only official themed hardware.
- Retailers in several countries sell their own console-plus-game combinations; these are not Sony bundles.
- A black PS5 Digital Edition launching in Japan on the same day as the game includes no copy of GTA 6.
- GTA 5 did receive official bundles on PS3 and PS4, so a later GTA 6 bundle is possible — just unannounced.
1. The Official Answer: No Bundle Has Been Announced
Every official GTA 6 hardware announcement so far has come through PlayStation’s own channels, and none of them mentions a console bundle. PlayStation’s store page for the game sells GTA 6 on its own, starting at $79.99.
With launch under three weeks away, a bundle would normally have been announced and listed by now. None appears on PlayStation Direct or in major retailers’ listings as an official Sony product.
That is the honest state of things: if an official bundle existed, it would be on PlayStation’s store and blog. Until it appears there, it does not exist.
2. The GTA 6 Hardware That Does Exist: DualSense Controllers
What Sony has announced is a pair of limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers with GTA 6 artwork: a Black Limited Edition and a White Limited Edition. They were revealed on the PlayStation Blog during the September State of Play.
The controllers cost $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK and €84.99 in Europe. Pre-orders opened on 10 September 2026 through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers, and they launch on 19 November 2026, the same day as the game, in limited quantities.
Be clear about what you are getting: a controller only. There is no console and no copy of the game in the box.
IGN’s Daily Fix below runs through the controller reveal and what was announced alongside it.

3. Retailer Combinations Are Not Official Bundles
Plenty of shops will sell you a PS5 and GTA 6 together — they just assemble the pairing themselves. In the UK, for example, EE lists PS5 consoles combined with the game, and O2 opened its own bundle pre-orders in October 2026 on monthly contracts.
Australian retailer Harvey Norman lists a PS5 with the game as one product, and in the US, Best Buy has offered My Best Buy members a $50 promotional certificate for buying an eligible console and pre-ordering the game separately — a store promotion, reported by IGN, rather than a bundle.
These deals can still be fair value, but know what they are: a standard console in its standard box, a separate game, and pricing set by the retailer that can change at any time. To judge one, compare it against the console price plus how much GTA 6 costs on its own.
The pattern is worldwide — German retailer Otto has likewise paired consoles with the game ahead of launch. Wherever GTA 6 is sold, some retailer will combine a console with it and call the result a bundle, without Sony being involved at any point.
4. Do Not Mistake Japan’s Black PS5 for a GTA 6 Edition
One product is causing real confusion. Sony is launching a Midnight Black PlayStation 5 Digital Edition in Japan on 19 November 2026 — the same day GTA 6 arrives — priced at ¥55,000 including tax.
Despite the timing and the black finish, it is a standard regional console launch. It is not GTA-themed, it includes no copy of the game, and it is only for the Japanese market.
If a listing suggests otherwise, it is the seller dressing up a coincidence as a special edition.
5. GTA 5 Got Bundles — So One Could Still Happen
History says the door is open. GTA 5 received an official PlayStation 3 bundle on its launch day, 17 September 2013, packaging the console with the game.
Sony went back to GTA 5 a year later with an official PS4 bundle for Black Friday 2014, priced at $399.99. Bundling an already-released game into the holiday season is a familiar Sony move.
Sony also still makes bundles for major releases — a Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 bundle arrived in September 2026, for instance, and recent generations are full of official bundles for big third-party games, from Call of Duty to Final Fantasy XVI. So a GTA 6 bundle at some point would surprise nobody. It simply has not been announced, and an insider claim that Sony will sell one remains a rumour with low confidence behind it.
6. Should You Wait for a Bundle or Buy Separately?
If you need a console for launch day, waiting on an unannounced bundle is a gamble. There may never be one, and stock of both consoles and the game will be tightest in launch week.
Buying separately is straightforward: pick your console, then the game. Our guide to the best console to play GTA 6 on compares the options, and our explainer on how GTA 6 runs on PS5 Pro covers what the more expensive machine offers.
If a bundle does appear later, history suggests it would pair a standard console with the Standard Edition of the game at a modest saving. That is a guess based on past bundles, not a detail anyone has confirmed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an official GTA 6 PS5 bundle?
No. As of early November 2026, neither Sony nor Rockstar has announced a GTA 6 console bundle of any kind. Anything sold as one today is a combination assembled by a retailer.
Is there a GTA 6 PS5 Pro bundle?
No. There is no announced bundle for the PS5 Pro either, and no special-edition PS5 Pro hardware with GTA 6 branding.
What official GTA 6 hardware can I actually buy?
Two limited-edition DualSense controllers — a Black Limited Edition and a White Limited Edition — priced at $84.99. They launch on 19 November 2026 in limited quantities.
Does the GTA 6 DualSense controller come with the game?
No. The limited-edition controllers are sold on their own, with no console and no copy of GTA 6 included.
Are the PS5 and GTA 6 packages at retailers official bundles?
No. Shops like EE, O2 and Harvey Norman pair a standard console with the game themselves. The pricing, contents and terms are the retailer’s, not Sony’s.
Is Japan’s black PS5 a GTA 6 special edition?
No. The Midnight Black PS5 Digital Edition launching in Japan on 19 November 2026 is a standard console in a new colour for that market. It includes no game and has no GTA 6 branding.
Did GTA 5 get an official console bundle?
Yes, twice. PlayStation 3 received a GTA 5 bundle on launch day in September 2013, and a PS4 GTA 5 bundle followed for Black Friday 2014 at $399.99.
Could Sony announce a GTA 6 bundle later?
It is possible, given Sony’s history with GTA 5 and other big releases. Nothing has been announced, so do not plan a purchase around one appearing.
Is there a GTA 6 Xbox bundle?
No. Microsoft has not announced a GTA 6 Xbox Series X or Series S bundle either. The only official themed hardware is on the PlayStation side, with the DualSense controllers.
Where would an official bundle be announced and sold?
Through the PlayStation Blog and PlayStation Direct, and then major retailers. If it is not listed in those places, it is not an official bundle, whatever a marketplace seller claims.
Final Verdict
There is no GTA 6 PS5 bundle to buy, and no special-edition console — only two limited-edition controllers and a crowd of retailer-made combinations trading on the name. If you want to play on 19 November, buy the console and the game separately. If a genuine bundle ever appears, it will be announced loudly by PlayStation, and you will not need a marketplace listing to tell you about it.
